Wow. What a lovely young woman with an equally lovely voice. The judges didn’t mention that she was singing one of the most difficult songs so far in the auditions this year. And, that was just her first song! Paris turned it up with her Billy Holiday song! All I can say is, “Jesus Christ!” Almost no one can do Billie Holiday justice, and this 17 year old girl paid her some serious homage in her version. Now that doesn’t mean that she has a hope in hell in American Idol though. I mean the average watcher probably never heard of Billie Holiday (no offense) and that kind of artistry is not really what the show is about, now is it? We shall see. . .
