Ace Young Is the Next American Idol

All Ace Young has to do is just stand there and look beautiful. . so it doesn’t really matter if he can sing.  But, he decided to sing anyway and chose George Michael’s “Father Figure” for his first elimination round performance. It was the perfect song for his voice.  The minute he said “naked,” I think he won the competition. . yes, I mean THE competition.  He totally pulled off the song vocally, but more than that he did the soft, sweet, subtle, and smoldering sex pot thing to perfection.  I have to pick my jaw off the floor now.  Shake it off!  Shake it off! Randy said that he was laughing during the performance because he was thinking that Ace is so obviously a “star.”   He was working the camera and working the room. . Others were faking it, but has the real thing . . . and guess what, he can sing.  Paula said 35 million people were now waiting to vote, all the girls and some of her guy friends (you go Paula).  “Those eyes, . . . hello!” Simon said it was not the best vocals of the night but that Ace has the X Factor.  A brilliant song choice and once he eases up on his nerves that he is going to sail through to the next round. I definitely need another cigarette. . .
