Becky O'Donohue – Looks Great, Less Filling. . .

Simon said, “No,” and Paula “believed” in Becky O’Donohue in the auditions. . But will american believe in Becky also?  That’s a tough one, I think. So, Becky chose to sing, “Because the Night” because it is a special song to her and her twin sister.  It was an ok performance, but you knew as she started singing that Simon would rip her to shreds.  She had some off notes and was a little flat in some places.  Simon was surprised that Paula would state the facts so bluntly.  Simon said that visually she is a 10 but that vocally she is a 6.5 and being good was not enough.  “You’ve got to be great.”  Randy admitted that she didn’t have the best voice but because of her looks, she didn’t necessarily need to.  Look at Madonna. I agree.  She’s got potential but she doesn’t quite have the voice.  If she makes it to the top 12, it will only be because of her looks.  Is that harsh?  Nah. . .
