was as vampy as ever in tonight’s American Idol.  I was a little freaked out when she said that she was going to sing Donna Summer’s “Last Dance,” because . . . well, Donna Summer rules and “Last Dance” is legendary.  Now, I figured it was a good song choice for her voice but when I think of “Last Dance,” I think of free-wheeling sex in the 70′s, not that I know anything about that first hand, but I’ve certainly heard about it and seen the movies. . . And, well. . you know where this is going. . The last thing I want to do is imagine drunk or drugged up, scoping the dance floor at the end of an evening at the disco looking for whomever might be her last opportunity for sex that night. . . ugh.  Disgusting image. So with these thoughts in mind, I listened to her performance.  I guess it was ok for her voice, but her performance was a little stilted and flat and I did not like the arrangement.  The same advice goes to Brenna as to Heather Cox. . don’t take on a song like this if it’s just going to be bad karaoke.  She didn’t lie though . . She came back with “claws out.” And, I guess she’ll be remembered for it. . But I still hate her. Paula didn’t think she saw the magic from her.  Brenna was unmoved and said that she was flawless.  Randy said that she and Simon had a lot in common with their arrogance.  He didn’t think the vocals or the attitude were there.  Simon thought it was murderous and that it was her “last chance” and that she might be leaving this week. I hope so, but the voting public has a habit of pissing me off. . . um, Patrick Hall?
