Katharine McPhee Sets the Bar High with Stevie Wonder

Katharine McPhee set the bar pretty high tonight on American Idol doing a sultry rendition of Stevie Wonder’s “All in Love is Fair.”  It definitely wasn’t one of those screaming banshy songs that the audience goes wild for, but it was definitely a beautiful performance that showed her control and depth.  She was looking extra-beautiful tonight also. Randy thought it was safe and not one of her best performances.  Paula agreed that it wasn’t one of those knock out songs . . but conveyed that she’s clearly brilliant.  Simon indicated that it’s not just about singing but that you have to be unforgettable. . . and in that way, not her best night “by a mile.” She’s definitely sticking around after Thursday. . so I’m not worried.
