Kevin Covais was put through to the top 24 finalists on american idol Wednesday eventhough Simon said that it was a very difficult decision and that he did not believe Kevin was the best singer in the competition. That said, Simon earlier had indicated that he thought anyone over 80 would love his voice given his similarity to Josh Groban. Good luck Kevin. It’s going to be tough for you.

He’s a cute kid and he’s got a nice voice. I wish he didn’t has the speech issue, though. I think his voice would be that much better if he could work that out, but it kind of adds to his charm.
