Man, oh man.  The whole giving back to your parents what they sang to you in your crib thing sounds good on paper but unfortuantely the actual sound of ’s performance was no where near as sweet. Note to Sway . . . You’ve got a decent voice. I’ve heard your pre-Idol stuff.  But NEVER SING FALSETTO AGAIN!  I’m sorry but Earth, Wind and Fire is classic and Sway destroyed it.  I’m writing this before listening to the judges and I can only imagine what Simon is going to say. . read on to find out. The few times that the song sounded good was when Sway’s voice refused anymore falsetto torture and broke back into a normal tone.  The voice knows, Sway. . .listen up.  And, I don’t care what you might say about that high note, which was in a way impressive, but still. On to the judges: Randy said Sway did EWF proud. . Um, what?  Paula said that it was truly amazing and to nail it even above the highest falsetto proves that he knows who he is and that he deserves to be on the stage. Leave it to Simon for truth.  He thought it was a pithy, third rate version of Earth, Wind and Fire.  I have to rewatch it without typing [rewind --> play] Okay, there were some good transitions from falsetto to regular voice, I’ll admit it, but Simon wins again for best ear on the judges. . it was not great.
