Patrick Hall takes on Melissa Etheridge and does ok.

Well, Patrick Hall was looking sexier than ever on the first, Top 24 American Idol elimination show.  He’s definitely self-assured, some might say a little cocky. . but I guess that’s ok.  I mean, he doesn’t really have much competition for hipness in Gravet Arkansas, does he?  And, Idolfan knows a little something about Arkansas. . So, I guess his version of Melissa Etheridge’s “Come To My Window” was pretty good.  He certainly put on a good show and could hit the notes, which is more than we can say about some of the girls the night before.  It was a little weird for me to hear a guy singing this song, but all in all, I think he’s got potential.  Besides, he has that cute Arkansas accent. Randy thought he was a little nervous but that he could really “do this.”  Paula advised him to stick to his niche as demonstrated by Hollywood week.  Simon thought he missed it with bad song choice. He’s definitely not getting cut.  He’s too cute.
