chose to sing “If I’m Not Made For You” by Daniel Bedingfield.  Going into it, I wasn’t sure than I had ever heard the song before.  I think he started off a little off-key and he definitely struggled on a few notes early on.  Once he got into the chorus, it started to sound better.  There was one part that was scary where he went falsetto and was definitely on the edge of his range.  It was a sweet, sentimental song choice that will play really well with his fans, but it was a little weird for me, as Randy would say.  Again, not something to jump up and down with but definitely one to fall in love to. . . All of that said, he’s just so damn beautiful, that it really doesn’t matter that he isn’t the best singer in the bunch. Randy said that he liked the song choice and that it was challenging.  Paula thought the song choice was good and he should keep taking the risks and that he is better than he thinks.  Simon thought he struggled with the song choice and that he didn’t do it very well.  Simon also took the opportunity to call Randy and Paula, Mozart and Beethoven. Ace cited some vocal strain and agreed with all the judges, taking the criticism in stride.  I also agree with the judges. . . he tooks some risk, was on the edge, but he should keep pushing it because he probably can sing better than he thinks. . . Again, confidence is a big key as Elliott demonstrated earlier in the show.
