I can’t say that I’m sorry to see Kevin Covais go as he was voted off of American Idol last week. He’s just not a very good singer. He lasted a lot longer than he should have and he should be proud that he captured America’s heart and made it into the Top 12 on American Idol. By doing so, he beat out much better singers for the highly coveted finalist position. His success shows that personality goes a long way and also shows just how far geeks have come in 2006. He went out with class. The other two contestants who received the lowest number of votes on American Idol last week were Bucky Covington and Lisa Tucker. America got it right this week with Kevin and certainly Bucky should be the next to go. Unfortunately, it looks like Lisa will go soon also, but vocally she should stick around beyond Bucky and Elliott.
Bye Bye Kevin Covais. . .
