So it was interesting for me to see Carrie on American Idol again. She is much as I remember her but perhaps a little more mature and confident. She’s certainly as beautiful as she ever has been, and she still doesn’t move much when she sings. But I guess that is appropriate when you’re singing about someone throwing up their hands to Jeezus during a car wreck. I guess I don’t listen to enough coutry radio, because I had no idea that “Jesus Take the Wheel” was Number 1 for 6 weeks on the country chart and I had never heard it before. I guess I like her as a country singer. . especially because that means I won’t be hearing much of her music. It fits her though and she’s certainly as good as just about every other country singer. . . So even though the mention of the “C” word raises much emotion. . I will let her go in peace.
