Elliott Yamin Is Sweet. . but I Still Don't Like His Music

Elliott Yamin tried to bring out a little personality by donning a tartan tie with an untucked shirt. He also tried to follow Barry Manilow’s advice by expressing the feeling of a song rather than just singing the words. Before we get to the singing, let’s just start by saying that he was looking pretty cute. That said, I’m still no big Elliott fan. It was probably one of his stronger performances vocally, but I still didn’t get much from him. He definitely put some feeling into it, like Barry asked, and I can appreciate how difficult the song was and how well he did it, but I just don’t really care for his performances. Randy thought it was one of the most difficult songs and that he “worked it out.” Paula said that she was moved and that she had goose bumps and that he was so needed in the competition. Simon said that since it was a singing competition, he would judge his singing and then followed by saying that it was “fantastic.”
