First, Elliott looked the best he’s ever looked tonight.  He’s looking a little cleaner for lack of a better descriptor.  Better than this, I think he sounded the best he’s ever sounded too.  He chose a song that was perfect for his mellow voice and he definitely pulled it off.  It wasn’t the type of song that you jump up and down for, but is was pretty flawless and crystal clear. Randy stood up for him and welcomed him to the dog pound.  Paula mentioned that it was one of the most difficult songs to sing and that he did proud.  She can’t imagine what he will do to top it.  Simon thought he had grown in confidence but his only warning was that you can’t win the competition with a song like that eventhough it was a great performance. I have to agree that he came across as confident and comfortable.  Not crazy egomaniacal like Gedeon McKinney, but just comfortable.  It made the performance really enjoyable.
