Lisa Tucker Brought To Tears. . .

Lisa Tucker chose to sing “Why Do Fools (Fall In Love)?” on last week’s Fifties Theme Night on American Idol. I love Lisa Tucker but I’m worried for her. She just doesn’t seem to be resonating wtih people as much as I think she should be. She’s so cute, so sweet, and such a great singer. . but she’s coming off as a bit boring. I’m sure she’s got a lot of depth and personality but it’s not telegraphing, if you know what I mean. She pulled of a great performance but I think she’s not going to last much longer. She needn’t worry though. . . she’ll do alright post American Idol. Randy didn’t know what to say. He thought it was a good song choice and a good performance but that it was just ok. Paula liked that she got back to the youthfulness of previous performances and said that she has a big career ahead of her given her 16 years of age. Simon put in a snide remark to Paula. . and then said that he thought it was ok but it was like he was trapped in a high school musical. Simon brought her to tears. I love Lisa but she’s not quite ready to be THE American Idol. I look forward to seeing her charming face around in a couple of years though.
