Mandisa Needn't Worry 'Bout A Thing. . .

Mandisa is turning out to be quite the star of this season’s American Idol.  She’s like the anti-Frenchie Davis.  She has everything that Frenchie had in the black diva realm but without the kiddie porn. . . but you know I love Frenchie too.  After complaining about her feet hurting, Ryan convinced her to sing shoeless and proceeded to take her shoes off on stage.  This could have been a disaster but it seemed to work for Mandisa.  She chose to sing “Don’t You Worry ‘Bout a Thing.”  I was a little concerned during the first part of the song because it sounded like she was having some trouble with the low register.  I was also a little distracted by the shoeless performance also.  But once she started pulling out the diva moves, it was all over.  Once again, Mandisa demonstrated that she’s the best female performer on American Idol this season.  Now some others can sing good too, but she’s kind of got the whole thing going on.  When she goes off the show, it will be a travesty. Mandisa once again . . YOU ROCK! Randy didn’t think it was as good as last week, but that Mandisa was the best so far. . Not much to compare her too though, given the previous performers.  Paula said she can sing anything, agreeing with Stevie.  Simon said it was the best so far and finally there was a competition.  The only criticism I have is that the handlers used a makeup on her that glistened too much on her skin after she started sweating.  They need to do better for my girl!
