Ok, you know I love Chris. And, he looked hotter than ever with his black eyeliner, but he really f*&’ed it up on American Idol tonight. First of all, he picked the crappiest Queen song ever in “Innuendo.” He could have done a kick-ass job on a popular song but instead chose a song that they’ve never performed live and nobody really knows. That said, he sang it in pure Chris Daughtry style. It sounded believable, though I have to say he’s beginning to seem a little unidimensional in his performance style, like a one-trick horse. But it’s a great trick. Anyway, I’m not finding fault with the performance itself, but just the song choice. He had a great opportunity but squandered it. Randy did a fake out and made it sound like he hated it only to say that it rocked in the end. Paula also loved it and said that the only reason why Queen doesn’t perform it live is because they didn’t have Chris to sing it. Simon took the opposite approach, stating plainly that they don’t sing it live because the song sucks and that Chris blew an opportunity to sing one of the great Queen songs. Basically, Simon and I agree. Chris totally let us down.

I think it was a poor choice of songs, however, I still believe in him and think he pulled off the song. I think if he would have picked a better song, he would have blew away the other contestants.
chris is a good singer so leave him alone. he did a gr8t job and i bet you wouldnt have the guts to go on stage and preform in front of all theose ppl and live tv so leave chris alonee…..thnx….=)….

Well the talk is that AI is rigged for Chris to win because they want a “rocker” to win. Some of the comments Simon has made to Taylor Hicks have been totally out of line. He does that to plant negative impressions about the performers. Interesting fact is that in spite of Simons’s stupid comments Taylor continues to grow in popularity and I understand his fan base is unbelieveable here in the US and International. And in spite of Simon’s comments, Taylor is still the gentleman and doesn’t argue or make a comeback. Just smiles and keeps doing his thing. True professional.
I could’nt agree more with YOUNG AT HEART about Taylor Hicks. Don’t get me wrong now, Chris is doing an AWESOME job. But Taylor is the man to beat…the man is just winning over everyone every week, WOW what an impression Taylor has set..Some may agree, some may not, but Taylor is the real deal. His expressions and style is unique, he’s having a blast up on stage each and every time he performs. ALSO chris is a good singer, but QUEEN songs are not something I want to hear from chris, the man is better than that……I know the next topic on AI is Love Songs, but it would be COOL if Chris sang “Fine Again” from SEETHER….. { don’t hate}
