Chris Daughtry Pulls Out the Stops To Stay on American Idol

Chris Daughtry chose to sing “Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman” by Bryan Adams. The coaches made him lie down on his back and sing so that he could tell the difference between singing from his diaphram versus singing from his throat. I think Chris seemed a bit down in the pre-performance reel, probably still recovering from being second to last in last week’s performance. He started off pretty strong and he looked nice in his pin-striped suit jacket. I was happy to see the untamed scruff come back. He was HOTTER than ever. I had forgotten that the song had a little Mexican flair. Unfortunately, once I heard it I was immediately reminded of Bryan Adams. . .That feeling quickly disappeared as Chris started pulling out all the stops, though. I guess he figured this was it. . He had to scream a good one or get voted off the show. I liked it. It was passionate, soulful, original and pretty damn flawless. Welcome back Chris. You should be safe tonight. . Randy said amazing, I love the jacket and I love you. Paula was clearly trying to save him too, because she was jumping up and down saying “We all love you, love you, love you, LOVE YOU!” Simon said it was a very good choice of song and a great performance, a very sexy song.” I think Simon has a crush on Chris. .
