Katharine McPhee Rocks American Idol

Katharine McPhee chose to sing a not-well-known Queen power ballad on tonight’s American Idol. I’m increasingly impressed with her. She’s grown vocally over the last few weeks and she’s just so well put together. She looked stunning, which only helps. She sang the song really well. After all the karaoke throughout the evening, it was nice to see her not try to jump around the stage. I liked it. Randy thought it was great overall, but a little pitchy here and there. Paula kept saying stuff about Katharine’s magnificent voice and comparing her to Celine and other white divas. Simon agreed with Randy about the pitch problems but overall thought it was the best of the evening up to that point. I think Simon has a crush on her.
