Katharine McPhee chose to sing “Bringing Out the Elvis In Me” for country night on American Idol. It was a cutesy type of song that worked really well for Katharine, because she’s a little cutesy, you know? Seriously, the country thing would have been a stretch for her, so this allowed her to show some sense of humor. She’s just so damn beautiful and she’s got incredible control. Now, don’t get me wrong. . I hated the song, but I think it worked for her. Anything else country-fried would have not been memorable for her. Randy liked it and said that she sang it very nicely. Paula thought it was hot, cool and she looked sexy. Simon was a bit speechless and said that the song was peculiar. Katharine didn’t miss a beat. . “Simon, you just don’t like country music. . it’s ok, just say it. . it’s ok.” To which, Simon said, “you’re right, I don’t. .” It was a cute moment. She also has a beautiful sweet personality as well which is most important. “SHE’S AWESOME!” 
What a great role model she would be for young girls out there if she wins the competition. I hope and pray she wins. She definitley should be the next “American Idol”
