Kellie Pickler admitted that she is a country bumpkin last night on American Idol. In case you wondered whether she is faking her naivete and her inability to correctly pronounce “salmon,” she says that what you see is what you get. But did you believe her? I’m just bored with it all. On to her performance: She chose to sing some fast-talkin’ country song that I’ve never heard. . It had a little rock edge in it too. She did it pretty well, I thought. I was just surprised that someone who speaks so suthern could speak all them words fast enough to keep up with the song. Randy thought it rocked. Paula thought it was a great night for her. Simon hated the song but said the performance was very good. I agree with Simon. I wish she would have chose a different song, but I can’t find too much fault in her performance.

She is just representing her not-so-bright nature and certainly everyone knows not all southerners are like her. She is who she claims to be. So, you southerners, don’t get pissed with her. What ‘s the big fuss and so much bad talks about her, huh ?
i think the issue that some people have with Kellie is that they think it is all an act.
Last year we witnessed true vocals, huge range, and beauty in an equally “countrified” Carrie Underwood. But she proved everyone that she could rock it out as well as evrybody else.
If you see her interviews you will se that she is smart and classy for a girl with a limited back ground (I mean it in a nice way).
Kellie is not as good vocally, she is not as versatile and she is getting away with it by playing the “country bumpkin” (that’s with a B not a P) card.
I don´t care if she is a nice girl with a troublesome future (who´s isn’t?) but talent-wise….sher is not that good !
If Kellie is a true blond, then perhaps i put it down to the genes of a blond, that makes her somewhat of an airhead. Plus she’s also young, constantly under the pressure to compete & in the media does makes her slip. I just truly dont share her values, and while she is still young, she has a good headstart to pick the right ones if she cares to.
