I have to give Paris Bennett some credit for always mixing it up and taking risks on American Idol. I wish she would have taken on a Queen song that anyone has ever heard instead of singing whatever it was that she did tonight. But, that said, I think she gave a pretty strong performance. It wasn’t anything people could really identify with though and this may hurt her but she showed that she is incredibly versatile and she is a really good performer. I just wish that the contestants chose better songs. What is wrong with them this season? She looked great, sporting another totally different look, with straight long hair (extensions) and a black outfit fitting the theme. She went in and out on pitch but toward the end started belting it out. As usual, Randy and Paula loved it. Simon had nothing to say except that it was weird.
