Thank God Bucky Covington was voted off American Idol. Or, at least thank the American public who finally got it right this week and ended Bucky’s lucky streak on American Idol that ensured for the last few weeks that a steady stream of more talented singers got the boot instead of him. . i.e., Mandisa, Will Makar, Ayla Brown, Melissa McGhee, Lisa Tucker, etc. . . Bucky was growing on me over the last couple of weeks, and he has definitely improved a lot over the course of the show. On some songs he sounds like a real professional. . but generally he is not quite American Idol material and it he was well-overdue to leave the show. Bye, bye Bucky!
