Chris Daughtry Is Still Hot

Chris Daughtry revealed that he wears boxer-brief style underwear on American Idol tonight. I think he should have proved it by showing us. Anyway, he chose to sing “Suspicious Minds” as his first song. Tommy Mattola game him the thumbs up. Chris came out wearing sunglasses and pulling out the stops to project a burning sensuality. It doesn’t make much for him. It was a very good performance, but his voice sounded better on the pre-performance real with Tommy than it did in the actual performance. Randy thought it was a nice tender moment but not his best. Paula said that you forget how great that song is until you hear Chris Daughtry sing it, welcoming him into the finals. Simon said it worked, despite the sunglasses.
