Well, at least they are both winners of a new Ford Mustang Convertible. How nice of Ford. Then the Golden Idol awards were back for the most emotional family member. They gave us lots of clips of Idol contestant families crying their eyes out. . . Elliott’s mom, Katharine’s dad, Chris’ wife, with the award going to Elliott Yamin’s mom. Just in time, in fact, for Elliott to sing “One Love” with Mary J. Blige. She looked pretty funky and they both sounded great. One thing was made clear though, and that is that Elliott is no Mary J. He did his best to sing next to this wild woman. . It was a little weird.
