Next up, it was time for the Top 12 Girls to sing a medley of famous Chick Tunes. Would Mandisa get her time in the spotlight? It was a nice overall. I liked seeing Lisa Tucker and Mandisa, especially when Mandisa started her “Every Woman” bit. She still rules the group. All in a promo for the American Idol Tour. Then, the Golden Idol for Best Impersonation. 1. Kenneth Maccarone – as Cher 2. Seth Strickland – as Michael Jackson 3. Michael Sandecki – as Clay Aiken And, the winner is. . . Michael Sandecki. . . This was shameless. He came out sashaying and singing Elton John. Then, Clay Aiken!!! came out and blew his mind. I kind of like Clay’s new hair. Seeing these two homos on stage singing an homage to Elton John (the biggest homo) and having a ball brought tears to my eyes. It was so sweet to see that gay boys can have their gay idol fantasties fulfilled on national prime time!! I’m sure American Idol thought this would be a great way to make fun of both of them (remember, they hate Clay), but I think it was beautiful!!!
