Well, if you watched American Idol last night, you would know that Simon Cowell suggested that Elliott Yamin would be voted off the show tonight. Meanwhile, Paula Abdul has publicly announced her desire for Elliott to win. Who will be right? Well, you know where I’d put my money, don’t you? Let’s see what the other “predictors” are saying. From DialIdol, we have Katharine or Elliott within range of the boot but with Elliott slightly lower. . . I guess it doesn’t take a statistical program to know this though, but at least it sounds right. Afterall, they got it right last week with Chris Daughtry. Position 1-2 Taylor Hicks 31,638 1-3 Katharin McPhee 28,759 2-3 Elliott Yamin 28,286 So if You believe Dial Idol, Taylor could be #1 or 2, it could go anywhere for Katharine, and Elliott is the most likely to get the boot. Now, ZabaSearch also got it right last week on Chris Daughtry. . and this week they predict Elliott also. Zaba claims to have ACTUAL total vote data from Cingular. 
I guess tonight we say goodbye to Elliott Yamin. It was a good run for him, and I’m sure he’ll do well. . . But I’m rooting for my girl!

I’m gonna be so sad if Elliott goes home! He’s the best and most humble of them all! I’m so proud of him for getting this far…it goes to show you that people know talent when they hear it! I’m hoping for him to stay tonight…won’t give up unless they say he’s leaving! As the the naysayers who said he’d never make it this far… you were wrong!
Yeah, I agree. Elliot was clearly not cut out for a competition where the majority of the voting audience is tone-deaf and stupid. We definitely need the likes of Katherine in the competition. We don’t have enough bitchy white girls who flaunt their bodies to make up for their lack of genuine talent to look up to.
Not to state the obvious, katbrat, but Elliott IS tone-deaf, and every kind of other deaf in one ear. Despite this, he sings really well, but he is often flat across a wide range of notes. Katharine on the other hand, has her problems with going sharp, but ONLY on the highest of notes.
Wanna know why Kat should not win? Check out her reaction to hearing Elliot wastion going home. She’s all giddy smiles while Taylor shows some respect and doesn’t start celebrating. Kat’s parents were all pumping fists and smiles once they announced Elliot was going home.

Actually, tone-deafness is not a problem with the ear. You can’t be tone-deaf in one ear and not the other. But that would be pretty funny…one ear has the ability to recognize musical tones and the other doesn’t. You are such a jokester! But seriously folks… I never did accuse Kat of being tone-deaf..just skanky…and theres a difference. She definitely can carry a note. But her inability to hit “the highest of notes” on some of her song choices that actually require her to sing “the highest of notes”…umm…thats a problem..and damn ugly. It’s just a mess.
How rude of Kat smiling like that over Elliott going home… It was a sad night for me last night seeing My American Idol go home.. The only music I see in Kat’s future is a CD of children songs… ose are the only songs that she can sing that sound halfway decent.
KAT AND HER FAMILY WERE RUDE WHEN ELLIOTT WAS ELIMINATED. SHOWED NO CLASS. TAYLOR AND HIS FAMILY, ON THE OTHER HAND WERE VERY SUBDUED. IF KAT HAD ANY SHOT AT GETTING ELLIOTT’S FANS IN HER CORNER, SHE LOST IT. ELLIOTT WAS MY FAVORITE BY FAR, BUT I WILL VOTE FOR TAYLOR NEXT WEEK.
Elliott was the best, wonderful voice. I looked forward to his performance every week! If you think he is tone deaf, Idolfan, then you must be the one whose deaf. He is very talented, and even Simon said he had the best male vocals in 5 season of Idol.
There is nothing to the story about Kat smiling when Elliott was eliminated. This is just a sad attempt at websites (not this one) trying to drum up page views with a (non) controversy. Taylor and Katharine’s reactions were both reasonable. Why? Because Taylor is the favorite. No one, including himself, ever seriously considered he might get the boot. He needs to be modest. Lots of folks, including Kat, thought the possibility that she might leave was VERY HIGH. It was reasonable for her to show surprise. In fact, if you look back to last week with Chris Daughtry, you get a much more interesting story. When she and Chris were given the news, her mouth dropped on the floor. She was shocked because she believed she was getting the boot, not Chris. That was an honest reaction and an indication of the high esteem she feels for Chris.
Basically, it’s stupid to get all worked up about any of the last 3 candidates. They are all good singers, good performers, and throughout the competition they have demonstrated that they are also nice, normal people. This is why they are the last 3 and are basically tied for #1. Don’t try to paint any of them as EVIL, because it doesn’t make any sense.
Also, to those that want to find something nefarious in Kat’s reaction and mistakenly praise Taylor for it, please remember Taylor’s reaction when Kellie Pickler was voted off the show and he realized for the first time that he was not #1 or #2 (Chris and Katharine were). He was thinking of nothing but himself and it showed:

HeLL yeah Kat was smiling! and with reason. She just made it to finals and edged out the ugly troll Elliot. There’s much to be celebrated for that accomplishment. And if there are so many fans on here that believe Elliot should have made it to the finals… where are all your votes?!? Anyways, Taylor along with Kat are great, So finals, here they come! And about her parents, they can pump their fists, jump up and down yelling “YIPEE for MCPHEE”, or do whatever they want, cuz their baby girl just made it. Sorry for showing emotion, the typical crying reaction would be kindof stupid after knowing you just made it to the Finals! Good Luck to Kat and Taylor. May the best lady win!

Ok, first off GO SOUL PATROL!!I LOVE YOU SO MUCH TAYLOR!!Now, Kat, she has a great voice theres no denying that. But when one of your friends has just been voted off, yes you can be surprised but at least show some kind of class and contain that until your out of view. I don’t think so Tara because Katharine and Taylor both deserve to win because they made it this far. I just don’t get it why Taylor deserves to win I know his a very good singer but all his dancing and stuff it is just so silly (like what Simon said a horrible wedding performance) . Kat should win, she is the real deal, she is the bee’s knees, what else do you need. And she also has the best vocal in the season when she sang ” Somewhere over the rainbow” the judges said it theirselves.

No that is not the truth because for all we know Kat deserves to be the winner. She has the star appeal and girls always win just like last year Carrie win and Bo nice did not so it simply means Kat will win and Taylor is just a runner-up.
