Well, it’s another Tuesday night and American Idol is treating us to a wide range of horror and inspiration. I was a little reluctant to revel in the glory of AI Season 6 but it’s growing on me. If you read last week’s couple of missives, you will remember that I was questioning my commitment, rethinking my grand purpose. . is there more than Idol? Why do they force so much audition awfulness on us? Well, turns out Seattle was just a particularly awful place for singers this year. Memphis appears to be turning out much better on the talent end. Of course, there is still the fair share of misery. That’s said – Idolfan is BACK! This year is going to be better than ever. I mean they put throughSean Michel from Bryant, Arkansas, aka the Che Guevara Fidel Castro guy. Hey he could sing and he’s from my home state! But it was a little disturbing nonetheless. Simon Cowell’s comment about expecting him to sing about revolution was pretty witty, I must admit.
