This show was a great example of why I hate the audition segments of American Idol. I think they really spend way too much time on the auditions showing all the lousy singers and trying to make people look foolish and sad. Seattle was the worst because only a few were any good and got through. And then with Simon setting himself up as the “bad cop” saying “no” to obviously decent singers knowing full well that Paula and Randy would send them through. I wonder how much more life this show has? Is it just me or wouldn’t most people like more time with the actual kids that get through to Hollywood? Maybe it would be more interesting to just have one week or so of audition programs summed up and then get straight to Hollywood but make it last a lot longer so some of the kids with potential but little experience can have more time to get their act together. Just a thought. I don’t really have much to say about the Seattle contestants. It will be interesting to see how far the cute brother sister duo go.

One Response to American Idol Seattle Auditions

I just read an article that Rosie O’Donnell wrote about American Idol. Let me just say that if all those people in the cities that they have visited so far sound like that and their family and friends told them they could sing then they need to be embarssed. It is cruel for their family and friends to tell them a lie. They need to be told the truth and if it took national television to do then so be it. I think Rosie needs to keep her mouth shut for once. She will get something else started with someone else other than Donald Trump.
