I’m glad that she made it through, but I don’t think Rachel Zevita is going to get very far. Randy thought she sucked, especially for the first song. Simon thought she sucked on the second. Then, she actually showed that she can sing opera decently. She’s definitely got the attitude but she needs to work on the singing. I actually liked her first song. . It was a bit gruff in a good way. I liked Simon’s multiple personality joke at the end.

I’m pretty sure simon and randy were more shocked at how amazing rachel’s voice is than appalled. Sure she could use an image makeover but her voice is incredible and all three of her audition songs were outstanding.
Ok, I can take constructive crticism, so I re-watched it again and I have to stand by my original post. Randy thought the first sucked (but he was wrong, it was good, like I said). Simon point blank stated that the second one was “worse than the first”. . Randy reluctantly sent her through, Paula and Carol without equivocation, and Simon didn’t comment because it didn’t matter what he thought at that point.
Please don’t interpret my comments above as anything more than they are. She’s obviously got talent and I like her ballsy NYC schtick. Maybe I’m wrong about her not getting very far. . perhaps I’ll withhold that statement until Hollywood!

yeah, she rocked on the first song. Randy was stupid on that. . I look at his reaction on the first song and he was so put off but he was sooooooo wrong. . .it’s just not his style but she really did good on that one.
I recognized that the auditions were at Chelsea Piers. . I wish I would have paid attention because I would have done some video work there if I was around last summer.
