Good things come in threes, no? Well, sadly for Ebony Jointer and Ashley Cleland’s friend, Heather Rennie, this time two’s company and three’s a crowd. I think they should have sent all three of them through, but the judges had something different in mind. Clearly Ashley and Ebony were better than their friend though. Ashley was rightly admonished for wearing too much makeup and Ebony was rightly singled out as a superstar undiscovered. What a total fox!!! We’re talking the next Beyonce here. Simon thought she was hot and told her that she could “sing the phone book and it wouldn’t matter. . . You two are ok, heard it a million times, and you shouldn’t be on those (rollerskates) and you are terrific.”

omg those girls are ssooo cute… their outfits and everything.. i think they all could sing really well and ANYONE compared to ebony is going to sound that much more mediocre because she’s on a different league! and ashley’s comment to paula was so cute! it seems like ashley means well! i cant wait to see ebony and ashley on the show!!!
These girls are amazing…. and they looked adorable in their work uniforms!
I can’t believe they actually work together and carry such an exquisite talent! Ebony is definitely going to be a star and Ashley is a star in the making. Good luck girls, I can’t wait to see you rise to the top!!
Of all the American Idol auditions, Ebony, Ashley, and Heather were definitely the ones to watch! Gorgeous, cute, and extremely talented – what more could you ask for in an American idol?? Ebony sang and looked amazing – she could easily become the next Whitney Houston. I wouldn’t be surprised if she made it all the way to the win! The other girls were also great, maybe if they hadn’t auditioned as a group, the judges would have let all three of them into Hollywood! They all had everything America would love in the next idol!
I really liked this audition and agree that if the girls auditioned by them selves and all the nerves were calm that all three would have made it. Ebony would be a definite! If there were to choose two girls though I would have definitely thought it would’ve been Ebony and Heather, Ashley was sweet and good, but thought Heather was slightly better than Ashley. Great job though girls, all beautiful and talented!
