Chris Sligh mentioning that he used to have short hair made me start thinking. . . He reminds me of someone. Can you guess? What if Chris Sligh were skinny? Who would he look exactly like? SIDESHOW BOB!
Anyway, I was praying that Chris could pick me out of the deep depression that set in over the course of the show tonight as one male contestant sucked worse than the other. I swear I thought I was going to slit my wrists. Well, Chris was a bit like xoloft. . he definitely took the edge off but I certainly wasn’t feeling euphoric after his performance. It was definitely one of the better performances of the evening and it was somewhat inspired but it still wasn’t his best.
Randy said that it wasn’t his best song choice but that he got the vocal prize for the boys tonight. Paula was underwhelmed and advised him that he needs to try harder and take it up a notch each week, adding that it was just middle of the road. Chris asked if it was better than last week and she said last week was better. Simon, meanwhile, was sticking his fingers in and around his mouth. Simon said that the beginning was good but that he shouted through the middle. He said the good news is that he will get through to the finals but he will look back and realize this wasn’t one of his best. Agreed. Chris is staying.
