Blake Lewis got some sage advice from Gwen Stefani on American Idol. . She advised him to be careful of the beatboxing when sing the Cure. . . I immediately thought that it would be a good song choice for him. . weird for American Idol though. He came out pretty serious and not funky at all. . . I started missing his beatbox. . not unique enough. . Randy said he liked it but he was not jumping up and down. Paula said it was very cool and acknowledged him taking risks. . . Simon said he was the strongest guy in the competition. . warning him of entering the Chris Daughtry zone and becoming too self-indulgent and boring. . .
