Chris Sligh dedicated his rendition of “Trouble” to his wife this week on American Idol. I wonder what she saved him from? He’s certainly right that she’s a looker and I can certainly imagine that people ask how he ever lucked out so well. . But my guess is that underneath that wry and self-deprecating humor is a marshmallow sweetie pie. His version was great. Not hugely dynamic but he sounded great. Randy loved it and said it showcased his big voice. Paula liked it to, advising him to watch his pitch and try not to get ahead of the music. Simon said he proved that he is a very good singer with that. And admitted that he, too, had been saved by a woman. . . Hmm. I wonder what that means? Check out Chris Sligh singing Trouble:
