dedicated her performance on American Idol this week to her late grandfather. She sang a rendition of “Feeling Good.” She started off slow and smooth and with great tone. But I was wondering what would happen when the song really kicked in. I don’t know about this one. First of all, why would you chose to sing a song that someone else in the competition has already sang and totally OWNED (ala AJ)! Randy said it was good to see her return to her thing but that it was pitchy. Paula said she was back in her element and was having fun. Simon said that when she was scatting it sounded like Paula judging the show – unintelligible. Simon said that she is doing the best she can do but that she is being whacked by much bigger voices in the competition. Paula said that there are different flavors of ice cream and hers is unique. Simon retorted that there were 4 raspberry ripples but Leslie was vanilla. . . Paula added that Simon is frozen sour pickle juice. Watch singing “Feeling Good:”
