Melinda Doolittle Fast Becoming America's Funny Little Valentine. . .

Melinda Doolittle dedicated her performance this week on American Idol to her two best friends and supporters. She sang “My Funny Valentine” and it was exceptional in my honest opinion. She started off slow and cool but she added lots of her unique sound and huge notes and runs. She’s freaking amazing and such a sweetheart! I think she could win if she shows more personality through the competition. Randy said that she was in it to win it and that she is the one to beat tonight, adding that it was hot. Paula said that it was astounding and that her phrasing was unique and beautiful and out of this world. Simon said “that was incredible. . . For me, without question, the best vocal of the entire competition and what I like about you and we’ve had some precocious little monsters on this show with very little talent and enormous egos and you have this fantastic talent, great voice and what I like about you is that you don’t know how good you are and I don’t think you would change if you do well. . a breath of fresh air.” Simon as usual is right on.
