Ok, so a work buddy of mine bet me that Sanjaya Malakar gets voted off American Idol this week. His view is that Sanjaya “sucks.” I don’t know. . He’s not one of the strongest boys on the show this year, but I don’t know if I would go so far as to say he sucks! I also think that it may not matter, because he’s adorable and he has great hair. . although I didn’t particularly care for his straightened look this week. Anyway, if you guys don’t vote for him this week, I’m out of pocket for a big lunch, so I’m counting on you!
So, Sanjaya comes out looking like he took the advice of the judges from last week, because he was wearing a very cute and youthful outfit. . . It was a well-delivered song, with good tone mostly throughout with only a few pitchy parts, but it was an unknown song. It still wasn’t the most dynamic song or performance.
Randy said that it was better than last week but that he hasn’t been his dynamic self since the auditions and Hollywood. Paula didn’t totally agree, citing his youth and need to learn and develop, and saying that he should keep pushing himself to “raise his game.” Simon said that it was better than last week also but added that he’s finding the hula hooping and the Paula Abdul hair a little bit weird. Even still, Simon acknowledged his popularity but added that he didn’t understand why since he’s not one of the best singers. Sanjaya could be great. Vote for him! I need the money!

Well, I don’t think Sanjaya sucks. . He’s young and shy and he’s a little naive and all of this comes out in his singing. He’s got a good voice but he needs to kick it up and notch and try to be more interesting and take more risks. Girls vote for him because he’s cute and non-threatening. . .He won’t last much longer though unless he does something surprisingly great! At least I didn’t lose my bet

Sanjaya has a wonderful voice and thats why we vote for him. He is also cute, adorable and polite. Right now he lost his self confidence because of these public attacks.

LOL…. I’m sure even the Idols or to be idols on the show aren’t as excited as the people here. I think racism is an excuse for idle minds with no self confidence in one’s own abilities. Lets just enjoy the show and let “someone” be the winner. Not everyone deserves the job he/she has, not everyone deserves the mega millions he/she won. But life stll goes on. Do we argue on why Mr A won the mega millions? It’s none of our business. Let them enjoy their moment. Why do we judge others with so many faults residing within us? Sanjya has no business being on the show at this point. He might have been good enough to make it to Hollywood, but at this point he has proven he sucks and needs to go home.
