Mandisa Performs "True Beauty" on American Idol Extra

I’m so happy to have found American Idol Extra. What a great spin off from the show. American Idol Rewind is great too. . . But that’s another blog entry.

Anyway, this week they brought back my girl, Mandisa. I lost track of her but apparently she has been modeling and working on her upcoming album on EMI. First of all, she looks fantastic. What a beautiful plus-sized woman. She looks like she’s doing great.

Singing an appropriately titled “True Beauty,” Mandisa performed unplugged with just a standard guitar backing her up. It started a little rough but by the time she got into the chorus. . . she sounded like the incredible singer I remember. The studio version is going to be amazing.
