chose to sing Night and Day by Cole Porter and made famous by Frank Sinatra. He started off a bit rough, especially around the second verse, but he brought out the big, extended vocals for the rest of the song. I think he sounds pretty good and this is definitely the right genre for him, but I just can’t stand looking at him. I’m sorry but the kid just annoys me. I wouldn’t mind listening to him but having to watch him at the same time is disturbing. . Randy said that he sang it well, especially the big notes, but he didn’t feel any connection or passion. (Word). Paula said the good news was that he was reminiscent of a young Frank Sinatra. . . but she added that he needs to show more personality, have more joy and warm his vocals up throughout the song. Simon asked which Frank Sinatra she was referring to. . . he said it had the joy of somone singing in a funeral parlor, completely gloomy and dark with no life.
