Tatiana Del Toro is a piece of work! What to make of her? Well, who can say. Her intro was really entertaining, as in she was on stage and in character the whole time. Talk about delusions of grandeur. Anyway, she is going to be fun to watch.
She chose to sing a bunch of different songs, including Aretha Franklin. She has an ok voice, pretty good tone and decent pitch. . She definitely was trying a bit too hard in all realms.
Simon said that she should not have done an Aretha song and that she could do a lot of things but not singing. She wouldn’t take no for an answer. Simon said that she was trying to copy singers. Paula said yes because she has a good voice and is what American Idol needs to color things up. Kara said she was spunky and pretty. Randy asked her why she brought an album in. But he said yes because she is wild and he likes it. Kara said yes because she liked her vibe but she didn’t like her voice.
OMG. Her post audition reel was a mess too. But I have to give her credit for some wit when she said she would go to Hollywood and win and the she would win again and then win again and then win again and then win again. . . until the end until she won.

Objetivo Fama (the latin-american ripoff of American idol) is sufficiently full of failures regarded (with great bias) as great singers.. please don’t even try to bring them to the show… though to be honest, audition ridicule and fail is pretty awesome at times.

yeah, she’s pretty freaking funny. she reminds me of a guy friend of mine from panama. . . I believe the term is “princesa.”
She has a great voice but she acts so whached, whackier still she is not acting. She really is like this.

I’m disappointed that Tatiana Del Toro did not make it into the final 12. I think that she is a star in the raw. In fact, she’s the closest thing to Madonna I’ve seen since, well, Madonna–back in the day. Del Toro is certainly a better singer than Ms M; way better. She’s also undeniably charismatic. And the camera loves her. Most importantly, she is unforgettable, for all the right AND wrong reasons. That’s what makes a pop star. Del Toro is the only reason I’ve watched consecutive–not to mention entire–episodes of American Idol for the first time. I hope that she gets a chance to return for the Wild Card segment.
SHE’S A NUT!!!! You guys are absolutely crazy to think this girl should be Idol. Her voice isn’t enough to cancel out the CRAZY. Anyways.
Tatiana was clearly better than a lot of the people who moved on. I hope to hear and see much more of her. Screw American Idol!
