I came across this interview with Kara DioGuardi and thought people might find it interesting here. It’s actually pretty interesting to hear about her background. She clearly has a lot of experience and is equally deserving to be an American Idol judge as Randy, Paula and Simon.
That said, she certainly doesn’t have any problem selling herself like a 2 penny . . . Oh, was that rude? No, I really like her, but jeez. . maybe we could all learn something about self-promotion from this industry insider.

I thought I was going to like her but she has a very condescending way of speaking that I think a lot of people find very unappealing. There is no doubting her credibility as a someone in the biz but it’s how she comes off that I think will work against her with the public and probably a couple of the other judges!
