Stevie Wright came into the room with a big smile and a big personality and attempted to sing a big song by Etta James. She was pretty damn good, actually. She has a great tone to her voice and a little sex appeal for someone her age. I’m intrigued.
Kara said that she liked it quite a bit and that there was “something there” and that there were “moments in that” when she was “like wow.” Paula said she had great control and Simon said she’s got a great voice. He asked her if she was competitive which was a veiled suggestion that she might be too naive and sweet to deal with the wolf-pack that awaits her in Hollywood. Randy said she was “born with it.” They unanimously sent her through to Hollywood.
