Straight off the boat from Samoa, Taylor Vaifanua, chose to sing a song called “Joyful, joyful” for her American Idol audition in Salt Lake City, Utah. Standing 5′11′ at 16 . . she cut an impressive visage. She had a nice soft tone to her voice.
Kara said that she was impressed with her because she had seen her practicing hard in the bathroom. Randy said that she has good natural potential. Randy said it was one of the best vocals and that she was on pitch. Simon said yes, as did everyone else. I had to re-watch it to see what they were talking about. She does have a great tone but it wasn’t that memorable.
