David Osmond American Idol Audition Video

Formerly wheelchair bound, David Osmond, sang a Take Six song called “Something Within Me” for his American Idol audition.  Yes, he is related to THE Osmonds.  He is a total cutie with a very sweet sounding voice.  I think he did a good job.

Paula said that she was a little concerned that he picked a group with multiple harmonies instead of a solo artist and that he needed to think of himself as a soloist.  Randy said it was alright.  Kara echoed Paula’s sentiments and added that doing all those runs doesn’t help them understand what kind of artist he would be.  Simon said that he would make a mistake in thinking that he is contemporary.  I’m not sure what that meant, but of course they had to send him through to Hollywood because he’s one of the best singers.  Sometimes their criticism is ridiculous.  I mean, they let through awful singers with little more than a simple comment. .
