Elliott Yamin chose to sing “A Song for You” after shouting out to his peeps - Yaminion! He was looking pretty sharp in his pin striped suit and blue tie. I guess I can now see why people find him so sexy. The coaches were pretty rough on him in pre-performance reel. Let’s see how it goes.

He started off strong and was pretty consistently good throughout the performance. About half-way through, he pulled the mike down and started moving around a bit. He should have done this earlier. Has anyone ever noticed how his microphone is always set too high up so that you can’t see his face fully. That’s a problem. It was pretty good but the ending was weak.

Randy said he hated the arrangement but that he loved Elloitt and that it was dope and that he is the bomb. Paula was literally brought to tears and could barely speak, saying how much he has moved her throughout the show with his growth over the season and finishing with “you are this handsome, evolved performer. . .you ARE an American Idol and have a beautiful, beautiful future.” What the hell is up with her? I think Simon slipped some crazy pills into her water. He was beside himself with Paula’s antics. . . and then reminded the audience that 7 weeks ago he said that Elliott was one of the best male vocalists the show has ever had and followed that his performance tonight was IN PARTS like a vocal master class. “It was superb.”
