The Purple Prince Reigns On American Idol

So, finally after 2 grueling hours, just when you think we’re going to learn who the next American Idol is, they trot out the Purple Prince!!! I’m reeling at how crazy this show has been tonight. It’s a credit to how important American Idol has become that all these super stars are all over it.
Now, I grew up with Prince and will never forget that X-rated, Love Sexy, tour in Memphis I saw. He is a total freak and a total master. . but it was too freakin’ weird for him to be on this show. I’m not sure what to make of it! It’s going to take some time to recover from this.

Yah… I kind of was in the same astonishment….out of all the 100’s of great entertainers out there….WHY Oh WHY Prince???? Especially since this is a “family” show and parents have to sit and explain after the show to their kids, who that freak of nature was!! And what it is exactly that he does for a living!! KISsss!

Prince … it was wierd, but really cool and exciting! I love the way he just sauntered off the stage without even acknowledging the crowd or Ryan Seacrest. He is definitely a man who lives by his own rules, and apparently can demand whatever he wants and get it. What other artist could sort of commit to appearing, show up at the last minute, perform TWO songs, and then leave without saying a word to anyone? He just totally left the stage and the building and we’re just left speechless. This was definitely the best AI finale.
