Victoria Watson American Idol Audition
Unfortunately for everyone, Paula was back in LA so second day auditioners had to contend with just Randy and Simon. I had a feeling few people would get through this day. So in came hair-queen, Victoria Watson. She said in her intro that people think she sounds like a Disney character. She was right. She had a nice church voice and I think she might have gotten through if Paula were there. They should have given her a shot. Victoria, you were robbed!
Then they proceeded to make fun of the fact that the Southerners didn’t get all up in their faces when they were told just how badly they sucked. Fortunately for the producers of American Idol, there were at least a few characters willing to give good camera after getting kicked to the curb by Simon.
If any of the 2nd day auditioners got through, they didn’t show it.

It was pretty reprehensible the way they treated the Alabamians. They acted like a bunch of Hollywood big shots scouting Lilliputians… like their perspective was the only valid one. Why would anyone subject themselves to that?
Unless Americans don’t take themselves as seriously as we think we do… hmm.

Yeah, I agree in a way. Being from the South myself, I thought it was funny that they made such a big deal out of people being polite. . “Thank you for your time,” and such.
