Ashlyn Carr American Idol Audition Video
Wow. The San Antonio American Idol auditions are kind of blowing me away. There are so many great singers coming out tonight. Not like crappy Seattle, Birmingham! and Los Angeles.
Anyway, Ashlyn Carr rocks my world. She’s stunningly beautiful and she sings incredibly well. The judges responded to her very badly though. Randy and Paula couldn’t get beyond her so-called “weird facial expressions” and said “no.” Uh, hello. . she had emotion and was singing very technically. . .so get over it.
Simon said he would have sent her through, and then later said that he thought they “made a mistake with that one.” Well, as usual, Simon is dead right. Then Randy and Paula realize they F***ed up and ask to have her brought back in. . but only after Ashlyn is a total, emotional wreck. Ashlyn was very professional about the whole thing, all things considered. Well, she sang again and all 3 judges put her through, telling her that she needed to work on her “bad habits.”
Ashlyn Carr - listen up - you rule! You have to fight harder for yourself. I think you could have made it through after the first song if you fought for it with Randy and Paula.
Check out Ashlyn Carr getting kicked to the curb by Randy and Paula and then brought back in only to get ushered to Hollywood with a lot of admonitions about her “bad habits!” I think she should actually embrace these so-called bad habits and develop a unique personal performance style. . . God forbid she become an automaton like Carrie Underwood was during her tour on American Idol.
