Lakisha Jones Takes On Jennifer Hudson
I thought Lakisha Jones was being very courageous and crafty to take on Jennifer Hudson this close to Oscar night, when Jennifer will most likely win the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
She had a very appropriate dress for the performance. She definitely put a lot of herself into the performance. I think she gave Jennifer a run for her money. It was very clear, angry, funky and skanky in places. . . It was brilliant. She came out and took charge from the first note all the way to the end. I hope she rules the competition. That last big finale was mind blowing.
The audience would not stop clappying. Randy was freaking blown away. He said “I .Do . .LOVE . . . YOU!” adding that she reminded him of Karen Clark Shear? and said “Jennifer Hudson watch out.” Paula gave a standing ovation and said that she had so much to be proud of, adding that she was where she belonged. Simon summed it up by referencing Gina Glocksen. . “Just to correct someone from earlier on, . . . that’s the right note.” I’m very tempted to say to 23 people. . “book your plane tickets home,” adding that was in a totally different league.
Again, Simon was right. She is an amazing talent and is going to make it wherever. . .
