Nicole Tranquillo Turns It Out
Nicole Tranquillo tried to get funky too. It was an interesting song choice . . a little edgy sharp for american idol and I thought parts of her performance were fantastic. It had energy and was very hip and urban. As a more experienced artist, I think she will be able to pull this off very convincingly, but she still needs a little work.
Randy was confused and didn’t like it. He thinks she has a different vibe than Erykah Badu or whatever. Paula turned to the guys and asked what they thought. . Paula said that she didn’t know many who could hit the notes that she hit. . it was “out of this world,” adding it may not have been the right song but no doubt that she can sing. . .it may not be a song you like, but she can sing. Simon said that it was indulgent, aggressive, looked unnatural and fake and it was over-rehearsed and not her at all. I think Simon was overstating his point, but it makes a little sense.
Look she was trying to turn it out and I think she did.
