Let’s Get It On With Jared Cotter
Jared Cotter tried to pull out the sex appeal this week on American Idol by singing the ultra smooth, Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get It On.” I’m sure half or more of America would like to get it on with Jared. Don’t you think?
I didn’t much care for his suit, but he started off singing pretty well. Of course, it’s hard to take on a master like Marvin Gaye and make a song like that your own. I’m guessing that the judges will say something like this. He pulled it out a bit in the end and put a little of himself in the performance, crawling around the floor and making sexy faces, etc.
Randy said he kinda liked it but loved the face moves. Paula said she liked the face moves when Jared did it, but not Randy. Paula made some double entendre comments about not pushing on a song like that. . Simon had to take over because American Idol is a family show but then served it up to Jared by saying that the performance was like being on the “Love Boat!”
